The Buffalo State Philharmonia Orchestra is inviting for auditions all Buffalo State students (both music majors and non-music majors) and community members looking to enhance their musical skills in an orchestral setting. Auditions for NEW MEMBERS: 

• Monday, August 25, from 7:00–9:30 p.m.
• Monday, September 1, from 8:15–9:30 p.m.

Requirements

Please prepare two contrasting solo pieces of your choice (max. of 5 minutes, piano accompaniment not required), showcasing your abilities. Additionally, you might be asked to play a three-octave scale. Please prepare them in D, E, and F major. Have them ready to play at a minimum tempo of quarter note = 90. Rehearsals for the Buffalo State Philharmonia Orchestra are held every Monday from 7:00–9:30 p.m. at Rockwell Hall 21. Concerts are scheduled for Tuesdays at 7:30 PM at the Buffalo State Performing Arts Center: November 18, March 10, May 5.
