Brightspace: About Accessibility
Posted:
As the campus prepares for the Title II ADA Web and Mobile Accessibility deadline of April 24, 2026, Buffalo State University is committed to providing access and support for students with disabilities. Several features in Brightspace help us achieve this goal including built-in accessibility checkers, the ability to add alternative text to images, accessible page formats for your course content, the ability to add captions to your videos, and even the ability to individually customize due dates and test times for students who need accommodations. Please access the links below for more information.
- Buffalo State Accessibility Knowledge Base Articles
- Yuja Captioning (Check any other videos in your course to ensure captions are available)
- Accessibility Training sessions (Microsoft Word and Brightspace Ally, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.) are offered through the Workshop Registration System
